Streamlining warehouse operations

In 2008, Coolshop implemented Apport WMS to tackle the growing complexity of their warehouse management. The previous manual system had become inefficient, with employees spending excessive time searching for items and correcting picking errors. Coolshop needed a warehouse system that could optimize storage space, minimize errors, and speed up processes.

With Apport WMS, their warehouse was restructured into a dynamic storage model, where items are placed based on available space, enabling far more efficient use of storage capacity.

Bringing shelves to employees – Not the other way around

To enhance warehouse efficiency, Coolshop integrated Geek+ robots in 2023, automating and optimizing a large portion of the picking process. Instead of employees moving through the warehouse to retrieve items, the Geek+ robots bring shelves with the necessary products directly to them.

Geek+ has made Coolshop’s picking process up to four times faster and significantly more efficient. At the same time, the robots have improved working conditions by reducing physical strain on employees, as they no longer need to walk long distances across the warehouse. The combination of Geek+ and Apport WMS has made Coolshop’s warehouse operations both scalable and flexible, enabling them to handle more orders with fewer resources, all while maintaining high precision and speed.
